Your central nervous system, your CNS, is constantly picking up signals, energy, information, frequencies, vibration, and if it's out of balance, you're stuck in survival mode, disconnected from your highest, highest potential.

We're talking about this hidden truth that your body is a transmitter and a receiver. Most entrepreneurs focus on strategy, on time management or even mindset, which is important, but here's the truth your success is determined by your energy, and your energy is regulated by your central nervous system. This system isn't just running your body, it's also sending and receiving energy and information. Your body is a frequency tuner and if it's stuck in stress mode, your ability to create, your ability to lead and your ability to perform is blocked. Think about this you ever walk into a room and feel the energy shift. That's your CNS at work, receiving information from the environment. Have you ever gotten that gut instinct before making a big decision? That's your cns sending you internal intelligence. That feeling usually comes in your solar plexus. But if your nervous system is overloaded with toxins, with poor sleep and artificial light, environmental toxins and even stress, it loses its ability to tune properly. You end up exhausted, uninspired and out of sync with your true potential.

Speaker 1:

So you might be wondering, jeff, how do we fix this? How do we optimize your body's natural ability to send and receive energy? Clearly, well, I want to give you a three-step plan to balance your CNS and reclaim your energy. And no, this isn't a plan where you know I'm asking you to invest in products and supplements and tests. This is a simple, three-step plan that you can use nature to be able to rebalance your central nervous system. And yes, of course, there are next steps.

Speaker 1:

Uh, after these simple three steps, but I wanted to give you something actionable today in this episode that you can actually implement. Uh, whatever time of the day you're listening to this, or, you know, first thing tomorrow. So here's where we start a simple science backed. Yes, I always like to bring science. You know I'm a little some people consider me a little on the woo side, but everything that I bring to you here is backed by science. I I would like to go a lot further, but I want to bring you things that have efficacy and that you can implement, that are actionable. So the three-step entry-level plan, we'll call it, to balance your nervous system and restore high-performance energy.

Speaker 1:

Step number one optimize your sleep. Sleep is your portal to the subconscious mind. Sleep isn't just rest. It's a gateway to reprogramming your mind and most entrepreneurs, and I just want to say, to reprogramming your mind and most entrepreneurs, and I just want to say this is why I will do my hypnosis, my self-hypnosis, just before going to bed, so that I can maximize reprogramming my subconscious mind, and most entrepreneurs are unknowingly sabotaging it.

Speaker 1:

One of the fastest ways to regulate your central nervous system is by following something that's called the 3-2-1 method, which I learned from Dr Stephen Cabral in the Integrative Health Practitioner Institute curriculum. So I want to give credit where credit is due. And actually that's actually a free podcast that he has over there on the Cabral concept, so you can check that out. I'll see if I can link it up in the show notes. But the 3-2-1 method in a nutshell here three hours before bed, you want to stop eating. This allows your body to shift from digestion to repair mode. Now you've heard me say before that digestion takes up to 30 percent of your energy, and so we want to optimize that energy for repair rather than digestion. So stop eating. Three hours before bed is the three, the two is two hours before bed.

Speaker 1:

No liquids. I actually don't have any liquids after dinnertime, so I usually try to eat by 6 pm and I really don't have any liquids until just before bed. I will mix up my calming magnesium and probably two or three ounces of water minimum, just so I can get that in. And what this does no liquids two hours before bed. This prevents overnight wake-ups from your bladder, from the urge to urinate, and what that does. You know, if you're getting up once, twice, three times a night to urinate, this is breaking your sleep cycle. You're not getting your deep sleep. You're not getting your REM sleep. We want two hours, a deep 90 minutes of REM each and every night. If we can, you can track that with a sleep tracker like an aura ring or an apple watch or a fitbit or something along those lines. So two hours before bed, no liquid and then the one hour before bed, no screens.

Speaker 1:

That means blue lights. Blue light disrupts melatonin and keeps your nervous system wired. You know, if you have to be on a screen, wear some blue light glasses. If you're watching on video here, I always have mine right here at my computer. If I have to do something, let's say after dinner time on the computer, I can put my blue light blockers on. You can also find my favorite blue light blocking glasses on our resource page from Viveray's absolutely amazing company over there. And so, moving on, when you sleep deeply, your subconscious processes ideas, processes emotions and processes energy more effectively. It's your body's reset, but only if you allow it to work properly. So step number two optimize your central nervous system with natural light, morning and evening, sun. So in Breaking Boundaries, episode number 127, we talked about how light is energy and information. It is the free nutrient that you could be missing out on.

Speaker 1:

Sunlight isn't just about vitamin D. It's a signal to your central nervous system. It tells your body when to wake and be energized and it tells it when to rest and wind down and how to regulate hormones like cortisol and melatonin Very, very important. So here we go Morning sunlight within 30 minutes of waking. Get 10 minutes of direct sunlight, no sunglasses, not through a window, not through the windshield of your car. You want direct sunlight into your eyes. Now, don't stare into the sun. You can progressively work into sun gazing, but just look in the general direction of the sunrise or the sunset. Sunset well, we're talking about morning sun here. So sunrise. This programs your circadian rhythm and boosts daytime energy. It actually increases cortisol, which is a good thing in the early morning and midday. Now, conversely, you want to catch that evening sun set. So the evening sunlight. This signals melatonin production and helps your central nervous system downshift into recovery mode.

Speaker 1:

Your nervous system isn't just responding to food and stress, it's responding to light, which is energy and information. If you're constantly under artificial lighting, your central nervous system is getting the wrong signals. Resetting this one habit can shift your energy within days and I'll say I saw something. Of course, I saw it on social media, but it has to do with RFK and the Make America Healthy Again and they're actually bringing back, they're lifting the ban on incandescent lighting. So, as you may or may not know my background, I'm a master electrician by trade and I was part of that industry when they phased out incandescent lighting and then they brought in fluorescent lighting, and then they brought in LED lighting or high-intensity discharge lighting. These are all artificial lights with various wavelengths that can affect our body. If we're in a building under these artificial lights all day, especially in a winter, that's what I talked about in episode 127. So you want to catch that one. So resetting this one habit can shift your energy within days. That's getting morning sunlight within 30 minutes of waking, just for five or 10 minutes, and then that evening sunlight. Catch that sunset as often as you can.

Step number three optimize your environment. What do I mean by that? Clean water, clean air, clean food. Here's the truth. Your body is bombarded by toxins daily. This is why we recommend every 90 days to do a functional medicine liver detox. Sorry, I'm yelling. I'm getting excited because it's springtime and my functional medicine detox is coming up and, honestly, I can't start soon enough. I'm super excited to go through that process and I invite you to join me in that as well.

Speaker 1:

So, from processed foods to chemicals in tap water, to pollutants in the air especially if you're living in the city or on a farm, your central nervous system is constantly under attack. This overload keeps your system in fight-or-flight mode. It's called sympathetic nervous system dominance SNS. We don't want that. This is draining your energy reserves. So let's talk about water.

Speaker 1:

Filter your drinking water and your shower water. Yes, even if you have well water, you still want to filter it, because you just don't know what's in the ground for heavy metals. Or you know if you have a well on a farm or there's pesticides or chemicals used in your lawn and the rainwater washes that down the well casing and then it gets into the well water. Yeah, it can get down there for sure. So filter your drinking water and your shower water. Especially if you are on a municipal water supply, you want to use a filter for your. You know a water pitcher under the counter, whole house water filter system and definitely an additional one on your shower that takes care of chlorine, that takes care of fluoride, that takes care of heavy metals. Most people overlook their shower. They're like, yeah, I have a you know water filter on my kitchen faucet and or on my refrigerator. You know, sometimes those are just not up to snuff. You want to make sure that it's a filter that takes out 99% of the contaminants.

Speaker 1:

Now you might be wondering why filter shower water? Why put a shower filter on your shower head? And the reason is this If you are on a municipal water supply, it has chlorine in the water and when that water gets steamy, your breathing stops. Chlorine vapors into your body. So not only are you getting chlorine on your skin, you're getting it in your body. And why is this? Why does this even matter? Because chlorine actually mimics, so it's in the halogen group in the periodic table of elements and it actually mimics iodine, which is important for your thyroid production. So the chlorine and fluoride are in the same halogen group and they can block the receptors for iodine. Now your thyroid. You end up, you know, possibly with a diagnosis of hypothyroidism, low thyroid, which is completely possible from just simply showering in chlorine water and breathing in those chlorine vapors. Not to mention the heavy metals that are definitely in all of your water, whether it's municipal or well water as well, and all of these things disrupt your nervous system and your hormone balance.

Speaker 1:

Next, let's talk about air. Air is super important for your body. If you didn't have it you wouldn't live. But breathing in contaminated air, especially city air, you know you have to break dust and exhaust fumes and industry and all kinds of things. You want to use an air purifier or open windows daily. You know that's going to help to off gas. The well the off gassing happens in your home. You want to open the windows to bring in fresh air on a daily basis when you can. Your brain functions better with clean oxygen. My highest recommendation is to use exit exercise with oxygen therapy. He walked I and that can definitely help with brain function as well. But again, we're just sticking to the basics here. Open your windows, it's completely free for that air exchange. Take it to the next step get an air doctor purifier. Next, your food. You want to stick to whole food. You want to stick to organic food. So utilize that environmental working group. So EWGorg look up their clean 15 and dirty dozen. Here we are in March of 2025. This is about the time of year that they publish their new findings on the Clean 15 and the Dirty Dozen. I highly recommend staying up to date and shopping by those lists.

Speaker 1:

Organic foods when possible, pesticides and preservatives they act as stress signals to your body. So think of this like clearing static from a radio signal. This clean air, clean water, clean food this morning, sunlight, the three to one method for sleep this is like clearing static from a radio signal. The cleaner your inputs, the clearer your body's ability to receive and transmit that vital life force, energy. And then next level optimization the 5R method we have. So that's the three-step method.
