Specifically, we're going to talk about the cost of both action and inaction when it comes to your physical and your mental health, Because, let's face it, either choice carries consequences, and the question is which cost are you willing to pay? Let's start by talking about the cost of inaction.

Speaker 1:

What happens when you choose not to prioritize your health, your mindset or even your overall well-being, Every choice that we make? Well, let me back up a second. Life is choice, and we have the ability to choose the outcome that we want, no matter where you are at this current moment. That is because of the choices that you've made, and where you can go are going is determined by the choices that you will make or not make. So maybe you're waking up every day and you're feeling sluggish, your energy is drained and you know that you should be doing things for yourself, like eating better, exercising either more or differently, maybe even managing stress through things like mindfulness or meditation or hypnosis, but you don't. But you're not doing that, and you've told yourself you'll get to it later. I was in this exact same place and I know what it was like to to feel like you're focused on building your business or taking care of everyone else. You know that goes to my my tagline on my, on my website, and I use it on on other types of media as well but you. But while you're busy taking care of business, who's taking care of you? The one person who's being neglected is you, and you're the one that needs to advocate for yourself, and that starts with choice. So here's the truth Every time that you choose inaction, you're not just staying where you are, you're actually moving backwards. Your body starts paying the price with things like weight gain, fatigue, maybe chronic issues like high blood pressure and digestive problems or poor sleep.

Speaker 1:

Now that I said that, you know I'm not claiming to diagnose, treat or cure any diseases here, but you know, mentally you're constantly in survival mode, your cortisol levels are high, you're running on stress, your body is in fight or flight, you're feeling anxiety, you're feeling overwhelmed and it doesn't take long before that leads to burnout. Eventually that can lead to burnout and that can cost you productivity or, even worse, complete mental and physical breakdown. I also have been there too. I know exactly what that's like and I created this podcast because I spent a lot of years, a lot of time, a lot of energy, a lot of money learning these things. I chose at one point to change careers and spend the rest of my life helping other people with the things that I learned, Like I made the investment to become a guide for you and to be able to help you avoid those pitfalls.

I don't want to see anybody in, you know, mental or physical breakdown or burnout. Like you know, I see it all the time in my private wellness practice. Like you know, I see it all the time in my private wellness practice and those clients are, you know, not that I mind labs or not diagnosing chronic fatigue, but we can see what stage of chronic fatigue that they are in. So you know, I've seen this all too often, especially with entrepreneurs, and that's why I created this podcast specifically to help entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship near and dear to my heart, you know, woman owns businesses near and dear to my heart. Woman owns businesses near and dear to my heart as well, and men or women entrepreneurs, they have this belief that they can grind through it, but the grind catches up to them. It really does, and that is the price of inaction.

So now, what happens when you flip that script, when you choose action instead? Imagine waking up each day feeling energized, feeling mentally clear and focused. Imagine your body and your mind working for you instead of against you. It's kind of. It's kind of like the lesson. You know, a voracious reader, especially for entrepreneurship, One of my favorite books is Rich Dad, Poor Dad, by Robert Kiyosaki, and he talks about the difference between the rich and the poor is the rich let their money work for them and the poor actually work for their money. So this is where you are training your body and your mind to work for you instead of against you. And when you make the decision to prioritize your health, whether it's physically or mentally, you're actually making an investment. An investment you're investing in long-term success.

Speaker 1:

Anybody in business you know you may have got lucky and hit an overnight success pattern, or you know, whether it's on social media or on, and I didn't want to go there. Let's just stick with business. Not all businesses are an overnight success. They are a long game, the long-term game, and so is health. If you're struggling with low energy, imbalanced hormones, low libido, brain fog, chronic headaches, chronic fatigue, any of those gut health, it didn't happen overnight. Right, that did not happen overnight. It may have taken months or years, in most cases, years to get to where you are, or in some cases, even decades.

Speaker 1:

So you know, health, rebuilding health is a long game, and I'm not just talking about hitting the gym and eating salads. It's deeper than that. I'm talking about taking the holistic approach to health, integrative health, where you're looking at the whole picture. And integrative health, it's not alternative, the whole picture. And integrative health it's not alternative medicine. It does involve conventional medicine. That has its place here too. So integrative health and we look at what are you, what are your nutritional deficiencies? What toxicities are bogging down your system? How are stress and hormones and gut health impacting your mood, your productivity and energy levels? Those are all important questions to ask and we can get you those answers that you deserve.

Integrative health addresses all of that, and it's not just about managing symptoms but uncovering, you know it, those root causes of what's holding you back. Holding you back when you commit to taking action, when you choose to take action. And that word commit, that commitment, is a huge, huge part that was a transformative part of my shift in success. My shift in mindset was that word commitment. I went through a training. We spent a whole entire week on commitment and it was absolutely amazing to realize how committed am I to the outcome that I want. So you're not only healing your body, but you're also empowering your mind. You're building resilience, you're building confidence and the energy to go after what you want, whether it's in your business, your relationships, your spirituality or just your everyday life. And for those struggling mentally, there are also tools.

Speaker 1:

Now you know mental health, integrative health plays a big role in mental health. A lot of people don't know that. You know the neurotransmitters that cause happiness and joy, things that people lack a lot of those neurotransmitters are created in the gut and proper gut health. We need good mineral balance. We need good vitamin supplement not supplements, but vitamin levels as well and we want to make sure that those toxicities are not depleting our vitamin balance, our vitamin stores, our vitamin stores, our mineral stores and gut health and mineral deficiencies and toxicities they all play a role in mental health, especially with children, because their bodies are smaller, they're still developing and it doesn't take as much of a mineral imbalance or a vitamin deficiency or toxicity like heavy metals or bacterial overgrowth to offset that fragile growing system that's creating those neurotransmitters to, you know, keep that child in a state of happiness and joy and focus right. This is where that attention and I'm not, you know, diagnosing or giving any medical advice, but you know attention deficit disorder is usually heavily rooted in mineral imbalances and toxicities like heavy metals. You know there's one simple lab test that takes about a teaspoon of hair from a child's head or an adult's head, you know, ages three and up to be able to look at some of those deficiencies and toxicities and imbalances. It's absolutely an amazing, amazing test. So you know, struggling mentally.

Another tool that we use is clinical hypnosis and it's it's another proven tool that we use. So it helps to rewire negative thought patterns. This works for adults and children as well. You know I'm not talking about stage hypnosis You've heard me say that before but we're talking about clinical hypnosis here. This helps to be able to release mental blocks and truly change the way that you think, the way that you feel, the way that you react to challenges.

Hypnosis goes beyond surface level relaxation. It taps into the subconscious mind to drive real, lasting, sustainable change. It's absolutely amazing. It was super beneficial for my success as well. So the cost of inaction yeah it. It requires effort, it requires time and commitment, but the benefits that you gain, you know, like a healthy body, a sharp mind and a lifestyle that supports your growth it far outweighs the cost. You're setting yourself up for long-term vitality and success and mental clarity.

Now take a moment to really feel both situations, Like if you're not driving, you know, maybe you're on a treadmill, you're doing chores, or you know cleaning the house or whatever you do when you're listening to the Breaking Boundaries podcast. Again, I'm grateful that you're here and allow me to speak to you for 10 or 15 minutes or 20 minutes a week, but I want you to just take a moment and really feel both situations. So, if you can just close your eyes for a moment and imagine yourself, not now, but two years from now, two years from now, having chosen in action, how do you feel physically? How drained is your mental energy? What's your health like two years from now from not choosing to take control of your health? How is your mood, how your relationships have been affected? Can you really run your business at the level you need to with that kinda mindset? Be completely honest with yourself here.

Okay, now, if you can still keep your eyes closed now, I want you to imagine yourself two years from now having taken action. You've prioritized your health. You're stronger, both physically and mentally. You have the energy to not just keep up with life, but to thrive in it. You have mental clarity and fortitude. Your business is growing because you are growing. The people around you are benefiting from your improved mood, your improved vitality, your improved finances, your improved relationships, your improved health. That's the reality of action.
